Bemerkungen | So sorry but I’m not totally sure on the time but it was between 8-9pm that I am sure. I was at a friends showing my daughter the southern cross as it was lower in the sky at that time and this meteor finished nearly just below where it was from my viewing angle. Im a night owl and see shooting stars/meteors nearly every night even in a more metro area at my home but this thing ever so slightly lit up the area around us. It would be the biggest I’ve seen in my star viewing life (since a child as my dad is a casual enthusiast of sorts) and super bright nearly hard to look at as it was like a welders flash bright but did break up into orange spots that spread out on a downward trajectory only, a little as they fell and blanked out just before horizon line. Almost like the meteor fell apart abruptly at the very end and close to horizon. It was in the sky long enough for me to register and spit out “holy bleep, there’s a shooting star “ and our mate turned his head and saw it just before breakup. |
